The Great Lakes
Shared by Canada and the US, The Great Lakes are one of the world's largest natural reserves of fresh water. Some of the Great Lakes are so large, they look like an inland sea.

Although the Great Lakes support a lot of heavy industry, they also provide much opportunity for recreation and tourism. This region is home to a large number of Native American tribes, who once hunted in the area's vast forests.

A tour of the region is a pleasant mix of beautiful lake and forest landscapes, and interesting cities like Chicago. If you like an active holiday with fishing, boating, canoeing and trail hiking, you will like the Great Lakes.

At least once while you are in this region, you should stay in one of the many historical bed & breakfast inns. We can combine accommodation like this into your personalised touring program.

A highlight of your visit to the Great Lakes region is a night or two at famous Niagara Falls. The most popular activity at the falls is "Maid of the Mist", which is a boat that will take you within meters of the falls.
