Alaska contains some of the wildest and most inaccessible country in North America. It is a vast State with a relatively small population. The southern Alaskan coast is dotted with hundreds of islands and is a very popular destination for cruise ships.
Most visitors go camping in Alaska. The distances are huge so be prepared for some long drives. The fabulous scenery, however, is the reward!
Although it is possible to tour Alaska privately, we recommend that you join an organised group tour. Being with a group, you will be able to go to places that are diificult to get to alone.
